That's definitely the longest my hair has ever been.
And here I am with my new 'do!
I feel about 5 pounds lighter.
*Most people are probably familiar with the Locks of Love donation program which creates wigs for children suffering from hair loss. I had intended to donate to this organization but after a year of growing out my hair, I was despairing of ever reaching the 12-inch minimum length requirement. Then I found out about the Pantene Pro-V Beautiful Lengths campaign, which creates wigs for women suffering hair loss from cancer and only requires a minimum length of 8 inches.

Wow Mel that is quite the change, the new haircut looks wonderful. But I have to say it was the before picture that was more shocking to me, because I am pretty sure that was the longest I had ever seen your hair :)
I have to say the pantene campaign is a bit inspiring to me. Right now my hair is also probably the longest my hair has been (at least since high school) and I am itching for a change.

It looks great!! I've been growing my hair really long and plan to donate it as well. (Donating wasn't my sole purpose in growing it out, but I knew it would be a bonus.) It's longer than I've ever had it, and I'm not sure when I'll decide to get it cut...hmm...

mel, today my hair got chopped off a ton too. except i didn't want it :( i told her to leave the longest layer the length it was, and i swear she cut off at least like 5 inches!!! anyways, drastic changes for the both of us. hope all is well!
