You could say that the last five months have been pretty crazy for us. Mostly good crazy. We celebrated the birth of our beautiful daughter, Jason added another academic degree to his collection, and we officially closed the Texas chapter of our lives.
But there's some bad crazy too. We are currently without an income or a place to call our own, and are enjoying an extended stay in Ohio with Jason's parents while we try to figure out what's next. It's been a hard lesson in patience, faith, and perseverance. With God's grace we will get through this period of uncertainty and be a stronger family for it. Your thoughts and prayers are mighty appreciated!

We are praying for you all! I've never seen the academic market this bad before. I know it is really deflating to work so hard and earn the degree only to be left with a meager job market. God's got something amazing planned and we are praying for the strength to wait on Him for it!
I always enjoy your reflections. Thanks for writing. Are you still sorting through childhood "stuff" at Patty and Doug's? Isn't sorting stuff fun? Caitlin Mae will probably enjoy seeing some of that stuff of her parents many years from now. Bob and I are thinking of you as you figure out what's next on the horizon.
